Spotlight: W.A. Meacham Middle School — Fort Worth ISD

We're currently on-site at W.A. Meacham Middle School in Fort Worth, working alongside Waltz Construction as part of the FWISD 2021 Bond Program.

This $51.4 million project at 3600 Weber Street includes:

• 25,702 SF of new construction — cafeteria addition, performing and fine arts wing, and a storm shelter
• 120,973 SF of renovation — secured entry vestibule, career and technical education (CTE) labs, and campus-wide infrastructure upgrades

Construction kicked off in February 2025, with an anticipated completion in Q2 2027. EIG PRO is handling the low-voltage scope across both new and renovated areas, ensuring every classroom, hallway, and performance space is fully connected and secure.

Services We Bring to Schools

Voice & Data / Structured Cabling

Every modern campus runs on a reliable cabling infrastructure. We design and install Cat6/Cat6A structured cabling systems that support classroom devices, VoIP phones, wireless access points, and administrative networks. Our installations meet or exceed TIA/EIA standards and are built to last decades. Learn more about our structured cabling services →

Audio Video

From interactive displays in classrooms to auditorium sound systems and digital signage in common areas, we handle it all. Our AV solutions help teachers engage students and keep campuses informed. For performing arts additions like Meacham's new fine arts wing, we design purpose-built sound, lighting control, and video systems. Explore our commercial AV capabilities →

Fiber Optic Backbone

Schools need bandwidth — and lots of it. We install single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cabling to connect buildings, IDFs, and MDFs across campus. Fiber provides the speed and reliability required for 1:1 device programs, cloud-based learning platforms, and district-wide networks. See our networking solutions →

Security Systems

Student and staff safety is non-negotiable. We install access control systems, IP camera surveillance, intercom and emergency communication, and secured entry vestibules — exactly like the one being added at Meacham Middle School. Our security solutions integrate seamlessly with district-wide platforms. View our security offerings →

Networking & Wi-Fi Infrastructure

We deploy enterprise-grade wireless access points, network switches, and structured MDF/IDF buildouts that keep every corner of campus connected. Whether it's a 500-student middle school or a sprawling high school campus, we design networks that scale.

New Construction & Renovation Expertise

School projects come in two flavors — and we excel at both:

New Construction: Ground-up builds give us the opportunity to install infrastructure right the first time. We coordinate closely with general contractors, architects, and engineers to run cabling pathways, set AV rough-ins, and place security devices during the framing and drywall phases.

Renovations: Renovation work on occupied campuses requires extra care. We understand the unique challenges — working around class schedules, maintaining safety for students and staff, phasing work to minimize disruption, and integrating new systems with legacy infrastructure. The Meacham project is a perfect example: 120,000+ SF of renovation happening while students continue to learn.
